The 5th TechnoHeritage International Congress

The 5th TechnoHeritage International Congress was held in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) from 25th to 27th of September 2024. The Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Santiago de Compostela was the meeting point where up to 170 people from many countries around the world (Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, United States, among others). During those days there were also 34 oral presentations, 118 poster presentations, 6 keynote speeches and 4 plenary talks. 

Our researcher and principal investigator within LaseringPH project, PhD Santiago Pozo Antonio took part in the organization committee as a chair of the Congress, along with PHDs Patricia Sanmartín (University of Santiago de Compostela), Massimo Lazzari (University of Santiago de Compostela), Jorge Sanjurjo-Sánchez (University of A Coruña), and Maite Maguregui (University of the Basque Country). 

The conference proved to be a great success, providing a platform for the exchange of research findings between senior researchers and PhD students from various fields of knowledge (conservation, chemistry, engineering, among others). All participants enjoyed a gala dinner with a Queimada (Galician alcoholic drink that after reciting the incantation, scares away the evil spirits).
