Our colleague and predoc-researcher, Daniel Jiménez-Desmond (University of Vigo), also assisted the TechnoHeritage2024 conference, where he presented part of his PhD research. With a poster entitled “Morphological and chemical changes of verdigris pigment in fresco wall paintings”, he showed his study related to the alterations that this semi-organic pigment (as it is a copper acetate) undergoes when used in fresco wall paintings, thus high alkalinity.
