Our team shared part of their studies related with the alteration of paintings to the environment

Our team participated in the 10th International Conference on Metrology for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage (#MetroArcheo2024) held at the University of Malta, in Valleta Campus, during the past 7th and 9th of October. Our PI Santiago Pozo-Antonio and our predoc-researcher Daniel Jiménez-Desmond, both from the University of Vigo, shared part of their studies related with the alteration of paintings to the environment.

This study is part of the PID2021-123395OA-I00 research project funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033, by “ERDF A way of making Europe” and, by the Xunta de Galicia ED431F 2022/07 project. J.S. Pozo-Antonio was supported by the RYC2020-028902-I project funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and, by “ESF Investing in your future”. Daniel was supported by the ED481A-2023/086 predoctoral contract through “Programa de axudas á etapa predoutoral da Xunta de Galicia” cofinanced by the European Union within the framework of the FSE+ Galicia 2021-2027 programme. Whilst at the conference, they also met Lasering-PH project partners such as Professor PhD María Perla Colombini, from the University of Pisa, and Professor PhD Paola Fermo, from the University of Milan, among many other researchers and friends. This was a great opportunity to share knowledge and assist other interesting lectures related to cultural heritage.
