On 25th October, Kateryna D’Ayala, our Erasmus student which collaborated on the project, presented her master’s thesis with honour at Sapienza Univesità di Roma, specialising in Science and Technology for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage. During her stay In GESSMin group, which is part of the CINTECX (University of Vigo), from March to July, she has been working within LaseringPH project.
Her presentation concerned the evaluation of the Nd:YAG laser operating at 1064 nm as a cleaning tool for fresco and tempera mock-ups with soot deposits. This work has been supervised by PhD José Santiago Pozo Antonio (University of Vigo and Principal Investigator of the project ) and PhD Caterina de Vito (Sapienza Università di Roma).
