On 17th March 2025, Dr. José Santiago Pozo Antonio, Principal Investigator of the #LaseringPH project, successfully defended his candidacy for promotion to the rank of Senior Lecturer in the University of Vigo. Throughout his presentation, he demonstrated a deep academic commitment, clearly reflected in his impressive curriculum vitae, as well as in the detailed overview of his teaching and research initiatives.
His defence provided an evidence of a career based on perseverance, effort and tenacity. Every word spoken and every project presented reaffirmed not only the strength of his professional profile but also an academic vocation and a dedication to research.
The School of Mining and Energy of the University of Vigo and GESSMin group are undoubtedly immensely proud to count on him in the team. Someone who is always generous with his time, eager to contribute, and who approaches each new challenge with enthusiasm and conviction. His promotion is a significant milestone for the university community and, especially for those of us who have the privilege of working alongside him in labs, classrooms, and collaborative projects.
