Our predoctoral researcher Daniel Jiménez-Desmond, during his 3-month research stay at the Centro Conservazione e Restauro La Venaria Reale in Turin (Italy), he also worked within the #LaseringPH project. Together with laser specialist Francesca Zenucchini and conservation scientist Chiara Ricci they applied three Nd:YAG lasers working with different pulse durations. They carried out the irradiation of pigment pellets in order to understand the interaction of laser with pigments by themselves, without organic binder.
Part of his stay was thanks to the participation of the University of Vigo in the ERASMUS HERDADE consortium led by Escuela Superior de Conservación y Restauración de Bienes Culturales of Galicia (Spain).
