Cristina Montojo Santos has a degree in Geography and History and a Diploma in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. Since 1992 she has been teaching at the Galician School of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage with civil servant status (Corps of Plastic Arts and Design teachers) since 2008, specialized in Sculpture Conservation and Restoration of inorganic materials (stone, metal, plaster, terracotta, etc.).  Also taught on the Master’s Degree in “Valuation, Managing and Protection of Cultural Heritage” at University of Vigo between 2010 to 2016 as a teacher and Academic Committee member.

Over these 30 years, has participated in various restoration campaigns, directing several of them in the field of restoration of sculptural works in polychromed wood and stone materials (between 1994 and 2000). In addition, as a lecturer in the specialty of restoration of sculptural works in stone materials, she has directed the intervention in numerous cultural assets within the academic field.

She also carries out research work in the field of conservation and restoration of cultural property. She has been a member of the research team of several projects funded by various agencies (Xunta de Galicia, Caixa Pontevedra, Ministry); also contributed to several scientific articles.
